The House of Peace and Human Rights does not arise by spontaneous generation. It is the result of a committed and participatory work for human rights over many years. It is not a project without more. It is part of a strategic objective of this City Council and this city: to make San Sebastian an authentic Space for Culture of Peace focused on education in values and the pedagogy of tolerance as essential elements to combat intransigence and social and political exclusion and to extend the culture of peace among all citizens.
